The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius was a transformative experience for Tammy. Ever since then, she has been passionate about others encountering in a deeply heart-felt way the penetrating, profoundly healing, and life-changing love of God through the Exercises.
She is trained in psychology with a PhD from Fuller Theological Seminary, Graduate School of Psychology. She also has a Master's Degree in Theology from Fuller with an Emphasis in Christian Formation and Discipleship.
Her spiritual direction training began at the Loyola Institute for Spirituality in Orange, CA where she completed the 3-year Ignatian Spirituality Formation Program and became a Facilitator of the Exercises in Daily Life. She then completed the 3-year program in Retreat and Spiritual Direction at the LA Archdiocesan Center for Spirituality.
Tammy is also a supervisor for spiritual directors having received her training through Together in the Mystery. She is also a Certified Labyrinth Facilitator with Advanced Training.
She served as the Spiritual Development Coordinator at Mary & Joseph Retreat Center for six years and worked as a psychologist for over 25 years.
Tammy brings a contemplative listening presence to those who desire to grow in their intimacy with God. She also provides workshops and retreats, supervises directors both individually and in groups, and forms facilitators of the Spiritual Exercises of St Ignatius, Retreat in Daily Life.
Dan Sheen has B.A. in Theology from the Franciscan University of Steubenville and a M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy. Through his work as a therapist over the last 8 years, he has helped individuals, couples and families find healing and joy amidst the difficulties of life.
Before becoming a MFT, he was involved in Youth, Young Adult and Parish ministry for almost 3 decades. He is an instructor for the Catherine of Siena Institute and has been a speaker for Dive-In South Bay and many different Catholic groups for the last 20 years on a wide range of topics from Catholic apologetics to dealing with depression & anxiety to "Finding Happy Ever After".
He loves enjoying God's creation through the outdoors and the beauty of nature. He moved to Southern California from the midwest before high school. He and his wife have been married for 22 years, and he is the father of four children from ages 13 to 20.
